How to execute Hammer Curl

A Hammer Curl is a great exercise to add to your bicep routine. It's easy to learn and can help to add strength and size to your arms. 


  • To perform a Hammer Curl, start by standing tall with your feet shoulder-width apart and your palms facing your hips. 

  • Hold a pair of dumbbells with an underhand grip, making sure your wrists are straight. 


  • Bend your elbows as you lift the dumbbells towards your shoulders. Squeeze your biceps at the top of the curl, then slowly lower the weights back to the starting position. 

  • Make sure to keep your elbows tucked in close to your body throughout the exercise. 


  • It's important to focus on your form when performing Hammer Curls. Keep your back straight and abs tight to help support your upper body.
