How to execute Alternating Dumbbell Front Raise
The Alternating Dumbbell Front Raise is a single-joint exercise targeting the shoulder muscles, particularly the front or anterior deltoids.
- To do the Alternating Dumbbell Front Raise, pick up two dumbbells and stand up straight. Lift the dumbbell to the front, keeping your elbow slightly bent.
- Rotate your palm so it faces up and in front of you. Exhale and raise one dumbbell until it is at least parallel to the floor.
- Hold for a count of two, then inhale and lower the dumbbell to the starting position. Repeat for the other arm.
- Keep alternating your arms, raising one after the other one has been fully lowered. Make sure to keep your back straight and body still. Do not swing the dumbbells. Keep the movement under control.
